Chain thickness allowance: make sure you can put your bracelet on by selecting a size at least 0.5" longer than your wrist measurement.

add 0.25" for a snug fit
add 0.5" for a comfortable fit
add .75" for a loose fit
add 1" for a baggy fit

A Snug fit can be a bit trickier to clasp at first, but it gets easier with practice. If you're new to putting bracelets on yourself, I recommend starting with at least a Comfortable fit or larger.
